All About Pocket Knives

First thing: I need to figure out the latest picture posting method.

I just came across an early '70s vintage 110 made into an automatic. The blade is date stamped per 2013.

It features dark mahogany scales, a squared spring, and sharp (non-radiused) edges.

It's a beauty but for one thing: the previous owner affixed a Smith & Wesson pocket clip on it.

As soon as I figure out the new system, I'll post pics.

The pocket clip has been removed; now, I have to carefully remove the epoxy resin glue that was underneath it and repair the mohagany scales.

I like the idea of a pocket clip on a Buck 110 auto, but attaching it is always fraught with pitfalls. The knife is terribly heavy for straight pocket carry, and the blade hinge tends to collect lint if you don't have the knife "suspended". The only drawback of the holster is the corrosion that takes place on the bolsters and release button. A properly installed pocket clip solves these problems. Installing one that's aesthetically pleasing is an entirely different matter.
