This Sambar Stag Nessmuk skinner went to Chicago. It's made from S35VN stainless steel, 4.5" convex ground blade, tapered tang with black G-10 spacers and mosaic pins. Buyer requested the treble clef makers mark and the pins. It was my first time using mosaic pins.........it was interesting.

Gary, you continue to kill me with that Nessmuk pattern and your outstanding work. Love, love, love that treble clef makers mark and the mosaic pins. All that and the stag too. This one leaves me speechless.

This was my first stag scaled fixed blade, I learned a few tricks about stag on this one. That stuff is not cheap these days and one has to be real careful not to quickly go into the red on a knife build by screwing up some scales. Even the stag tapers have gone out of sight in price!

That is so true, the price is absurd most places.
On the up side I did find a few very nice pieces at the Oregon Show this year, at a reasonable price.

It does take some getting used to!

I've been stashing a little stag away for future use I can't see the stuff doing anything but going up in price. Next thing you know they'll ban cow bone...........

Nice job, I too love stag! and have a limited supply. I don't understand why it is banned to pick up sheds in India. Don't make sense to me, after all a stag regrows a new set every year. But there is a lot of stuff going on now days that don't make any sense. Anyway, good looking hunting knife! Terry
