All About Pocket Knives

I picked up a Forgecraft long blade (probably 8" but not serrated)kitchen knife and thought it too flimsy to be a filet knife.....I began to rub it down with steel wool to resell and then I noticed the flimsyness was actually bent... Ah heck.

So I repurposed the knife into a Nail Nick Pick Blade Lifter/ Flint Striker. I sanded the handles with 100 grit and added a coat of linseed oil.

Lemme know whatcha think..

I like it Scott. It looks like it would make a fine striker save your knife blade for the cutting chores!

If I didn't know better I would think that it's Yankee Ingenuity........nice job Scott, save those fingernails!

Awesome knife opener!
The workers at Camillus did the same thing, often from an old butter knife. They had all sort of customized knife openers.
