All About Pocket Knives

I've started this three times but each time my wife makes me go do something. This time I finish. It belongs to a friend of my who's Father worked for coke for over forty years. She has table top coke machines in her house that still work. I can go over and get a coke for a nickle.
Kastor & Company was started in 1876 by four brothers, using the Clover Brand as their trademark in Solingen Germany. Where they did import them to the U S. Adolf Kastor was an importer in New York who later teamed up with Charles Sherwood to start the Camillus Cutlery company in Camillus New York.
Coke being invented in 1886, I think their selection of advertising would have been pretty thin like always I'm bringing to the experts. So if any of you can help me out on putting a close date
and possibly a price on this knife I would be greatful and I know my friend will be to. I have a feeling that since Coke was invented in 1886 this just might be one of the earliest advertising knives they had. I think that only Kastor knives made in Germany carried the Clover Brand and it was dropped in 1907.

It seems like you have the details of the knife down pretty well, if anything I wouldn't adhere to the dates you've given as strongly, most trusted sources indicate the Kastor clover trademark was used well after 1907. Coca Cola had a variety of different knives made for them in Germany by Kastor, the two most prominent sources on knife collecting: Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery as well as Levines Guide to Knives both have a large and somewhat detailed section on Coca-Cola knives. They date knives made by Kastor for Coca-Cola as being made from circa 1905 to the 1920s. That's about as detailed as you can get from records about the cutlery side of things, to narrow the date down any more that that you might have luck talking to Coca Cola collectors. The same goes for value really, most of the value of the piece would be to Coca Cola collectors rather than knife collectors. As a knife, if it had generic advertising it would only be worth a few bucks, but being a Coca Cola knife of course I expect it's worth a great deal more than that. Now if you could find someone who collected Coca Cola stuff as well as knives, that would be top dollar!
