An Old Robeson "WARRANTED" Congress Knife

Robeson knives with the word, "WARRANTED" stamped on the master blade have two possible sources of manufacture. They were either German imports or they were made in the Sherwood-Bingham factory in Camillus, New York.

I have an ebony handled teardrop jack that I'm pretty sure was made in Camillus.

This little white bone handled congress patterned sold on Ebay last week for twenty-five dollars.

Whether German or made in Camillus, the knife dates prior to 1900.

I think I lean more toward Germany as the source for this one. The Ebay seller did not say whether there was a country of origin on the knife or not.

He also did not pay for large pictures on Ebay, so they will expand a bit, but not much.

I'll try to get a better shot of the tang stamp.
