Can anyone tell me who the manufacture of the battle axe brand pocket knife is. My father had a stag handled stockman of this brand years ago and it was his favorite knife he said he ever owned. Unfortunately it was stolen from him. I was looking for another one to buy for him, but they must not make them anymore. Does anyone know who made them?
Thanks
Jimmy

hey jimmy, the original battle axe cutlery co. knives were made for the a.r. justice co. out of philly. as a hardware wholesale brand. 1877-1937
battle axe knives were imported from germany by j.w. hickey & t. shouse out of winston-salem n.c. as limited edition retail brand in the eighties. i still see this brand being sold on ebay occasionally, probably made by an american importer.

Good memory, Johnnie !
They were high-dollar, high-quality competitors for the Bulldogs, back then. Your Pop had every right to be proud of his stockman, Jimmy. Good luck, with your search.
