Been awhile since we've seen some abalones. Pull 'em out and post 'em up. Let's see what'cha got.
Here's a few of mine to get the thread started.

I've got 3 Winchesters to add in genuine abalone. These things are gorgeous when the light hits them. Much like pearl I'd be afraid to take them out and about.

One of the most beautiful handle materials in my opinion. Apparently my wife agrees because she's confiscated most of mine over the years. ::disgust::

There's only one solution, Phil: when it comes to abalone knives you're going to have to bite the bullet and be like Noah. Two of every pattern.

Great pics, guys!

RedRider...those Winchesters are some real gems. ::drool:: ::tu::
What type of blade is on that banana trapper? Is it a Wharncliffe, perhaps, or a Spear? :?

Monk--sweet little GEC #56...I noticed that it has the same serial number (04) as my little GEC...what could this mean?? ::hmm:: (wanna consider another trade, perhaps?)

Dave--I would love to see the open blades on that last one (what is that pattern called, a "hammer"?), that baby is stunning! ::nod:: oh yeah!

GTCut5 some gorgeous knives. ::tu:: I particularly like that Case Seahorse Whittler. I usually prefer 2 blades over 3 because of potential blade rub but the exception is a stockman and a whittler. The whittler with wharncliffe, pen and coping blades make for a fantastic combination. I am partial to wharncliffe and sheepfoot blades I think they have great utility and the straight edge makes for easy sharpening.

A huge clip and spear. This knife would really fill up your pocket, 5 1/4" closed.

Ask and ye shall receive. The name of the pattern has been lost over the years. The abalone jack is based on an antique Sheffield one I have. I've been researching the pattern trying to figure out its origin and name. No luck on the name but I believe I've narrowed down the origin. I'm hesitant to report my findings publicly though. There's a bit of conjecture involved, but maybe I will so I can at least give the pattern a temporary name until I find the original one.

Nice file work on the Jason Williams custom. ::tu::

Here's a Queen / Dan Burke Dr's knife. Why is it so hard to capture the "fire" in photos?

Now those are what I call beautiful Gents! Thanks for sharing. Forgot I still had one left.

It is a SS CASE 8254 with the "Cigar Band" which I think is way cool. I believe 500 made (yea, yea, I know) but this one is not serialized and all the others I have seen are. Real beautiful handles on a unused near mint plus knife.
