All About Pocket Knives

According to the tang stamp information this is a 1940-1964 manufactured knife. That means it was probably in existence when I joined the Marine Corps in '64, 52 years ago . (side note: the recruiter told us redneck boys from Florida to leave our knives at home when we went to Parris Island!)
The handles are bone, the blades are full but have some rust stains .
This little gal is just over 3" closed, stamped on the pile side of the clip/main blade is 622/319. Brother Charlie mentioned in response to my 1st Robeson (a Camillus mfg) find, the 6 was for bone/delrin, 2- 2 blades, 2- brass liners and the next 3 numbers indicated the model or pattern, 319.
This is one of Scott's finds.
Can this knife qualify as the "strawberry color"?

Very nice knife.

It is certainly from the Strawberry Bone era, but I'm not sure it is. It's certainly red, but it's not "Strawberry" red. Also that dark, dark area in the center is generally not present on Strawberry Bone.

I have seen that bone before. It is a genuine Robeson bone. I find it very attractive.

There are lots of collectors that don't like Strawberry Bone, but would love that.

It kind of reminds me of some Case bone from that time frame.

Almost every 319 patterned knife you will come across has three blades and is a whittler. The two blade version is uncommon.

Here's mine: Notice the jigging is not the same as on your knife.

I hesitate to think what we would call knives with "dingleberry" bone handles.
