Photobucket ?? Doesn't seem to work for picture hosting ?

Can someone show me what a typical URL code string looks like that works on this forum ? I've tried using my photobucket account & it won't work on AAPK ? Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong ... does it have something to do with Photobucket (that used to be the largest photo hosting site - can't imagine it isn't compatible with AAPK) ?? I have no idea why it won't work ...

We keep our photos here. We like posterity and history. I hate going to other sites and cannot see a picture that has been removed.
Photobucket does not work here. You post your pictures here straight from computer,device,etc.
Someone will come along that is more capable at listing steps,if this is not helpful. I find it much simpler and gratifying ,instead of searching a hosting site to retrieve from my catalog,and they stay put.

We have lots of bandwidth and hosting the pictures here does not tax our system at all.
Our system blocks most photo hosting sites. We have chosen to do this because many members like to use AAPK for research.
If someone drops their PhotoBucket account, (eventually most everyone does), the pictures they have posted here will no longer be seen on AAPK.
It is a real shame when someone writes a very knowledgeable post on a knife pattern with nice pictures and a few years you want to read the article and the pictures are all gone.
We choose not to have that happen here on AAPK and host our pictures ourselves.
