is it real? i know nothing about these.

I follow this brand some and this likely is real. It is one of their oldest tang stamps, dating from 1850 to 1890, according to Goins. I have a couple in this pattern but with tang stamps that are not quite that old. Their old stag is some of the prettiest.

S-K, Here are photos of three that I own. The bottom one has the great old stag and dates from 1890 to 1930. The others have the rough black that this company used.
Thanks for asking. This brand is a very old Sheffield name, dating back to 1745. I carried one of their stockman patts for many years and I found it to be of excellent quality.

Can someone tell me where I can get an IXL George Wostenholm single blade barlow repaired? The spring is broken. The blade is still intact, just wont lock into place & folds back over as there is nothing to hold it in the locked position. I had a post on this knife before, but cannot find the post on it now to follow up. One fellow that had back problems said to send it to him if all else failed. He stated he had a bunch of springs on hand & he would try & fix it if I could not find anyone else to do it. Have an idea on who this was? Or any ideas on where I might ship it? Thanks for any help.
