BUTLER BROTHERS CHICAGO ?

Picked this off the bay on its way not finding much

wonder if they had other stamps to be able to date them

i would say this is a early knife

Nice knife Cato!! - according to Levines - Butler Brothers in Chicago was a wholesaler 1877-1940... Trademark was "Warranted Never Dull"... I do find it interesting though that the stamp is Butler Bros - can't quite see it but is Chicago underneath Bros? When I see a name plus "Bros" I think German made - as I learned from dcgm4 on AAPK (Dave) there was alot of German makers who were trying to come off as being from Sheffield and for some reason they used Bros quite often... not saying that was the case here but if they were wholesalers perhaps the knife was made in Germany - just a guess ::shrug::
