Just bought this older Remington because I liked the style even though its well worn. No tang numbers but has circle Remington UMC stamps. Great carrying knife. Sharpens sweet, too. Anyone know much about this style or what period of time its from?

Hi Bryan,

I think that stamp was used 1924-1933 ... The handle color looks like ebony wood, but the lines make me think they might be pyremite. I would call the pattern a serpentine stockman with match striker pull, long spey blade, and slant bolsters. That's about all I know...

Thanks Bryan. I believe they are Pyremite handles. I thought the two main blades were unusual. Just an odd style knife. I wish it had numbers for true ID.
