Many collectors here are aware that Parker had a lot of pocketknives made in Solingen by Olbertz with SHAPLEIGH's tang stamp and etch. As we all know, Shapleigh hardware at one point owned both the KEEN KUTTER and DIAMOND EDGE trademarks, and others.
Parker tried to pass his off as "new old stock" and a "warehouse find", which is bunk.
I had never seen an original Shapleigh knife with the SHAPLEIGH's etch until I picked this one up a few weeks ago at our local show.
Junior cattle knife, bone, I believe made by Camillus.

Not a folder but has a nice Shapleigh's stamp. Oh and here is an earlier stamp of a Norvell-Shapleigh Hardware St. Louis Missouri made in Germany.

Wow that Norshap is neat...I have heard of the abbreviated marking but that is the first one that I have ever seen. Great pattern too.

Thank you Steve. It is kind of a special knife for me. It was given to me by my sister-in-law who got it from her grandfather. They were raised in St. Louis so I expect it was purchased there as well.
