Any here use this brand of knife?? Got a Harding coming.. John

Not familiar with it........would love to see pictures when it arrives John!

I got one of their blades and put a handle on it.
It is impressive sandwich steel!

Helle produces some of the best knives in the world. I have four or 5 of their knives and would place them against any custom or production blade out there. They are comfortable breaking down an elk or at home slicing vegetables. I have the Algonquin, Sylvsteinen, Temagami, GT, Alden, Symfoni and Eggen.

The Helle blank I did had a nice long stick tang. It was so long I had to cut part off.

I have a couple Helle knives sent to me by my best friend this year. These were knives he picked up in Norway or they were gifts to him from Norwegian friends. He has family ties to Norway and spend several summers there when he was a kid.

I visited the site earlier and it was very interesting. Mostly hidden tang knives but they do have a semi-full and I believe one model that's a full tang, great craftsmanship!

I've never heard a bad word about helle. I don't own one? But I do have a Mora with sandwhich steel and man is it a cutter.

I have not used either of them yet.
My best friend Paul is now in a nursing home and had his sister send me a bunch of his knives. He figured he won't use them so he sent them to me. If I ever get out where I can hunt again I would love to use the smaller one. Paul was also my children's godfather so these will probably be divided between my two sons.

My Harding should be here this Saturday(??)!! I will give it a ride on the belt this winter!! My first Helle!! Its going to be tuff hanging up my various BHK knives for thisun!! John

Well.. Since getting the Harding it is on my belt anytime I am in the woods!! Very light on the belt.. The barrel shaped handle give a great grip in any position.. The steel has been doing all I have asked it to do.. Cuts like a laser and staying sharp so far.. Hope to put it to more use as the hiking season goes along.. All in all.. this is a SUPER knife!! John
