I am very confused.

A few months ago, I came across these Xcelite branded Camillus TL-29s on Amazon with which they only had something like 3 left and said more was on the way.
Where would they be getting them? I thought the TL-29 went away when Camillus went bankrupt in 2008? It still has an NSN, as apparently, these are still being issued.

Xcelite was an electrical product which was etched on the blade of a electricians knife as an advertisement.

Knives are currently being made under the Camillus name by the company that bought the brand after Camillus went bankrupt but they are made in a Pacific Rim country. As dogg told you the Excellite electricians knives are being made as a Special Factory Order. If you wanted to have some knives made and wanted your name on them you could go the knife manufacturing company of your choice and have them made as a Special Factory Order.
By the way. TL-29 is a military designation so all TL-29's are electrician knives but not all electrician knives are TL-29's.

Jerry, do you have any of the pac-rim CAMILLUS knives? I've never seen one, or at least don't think I have.

Go into your local Walmart. My local Walmart has a bunch of the new "Camillus" knives.
They don't look too bad quality wise, just not something I would want to carry.

No. I gave some consideration to buying one just to see what they are all about but then I laid down and took a nap and the urge went away.
Here's the new version of the Yello-Jaket Muskrat and the Grandpa TI Stockman. Pictures kipped from Amazon.

Good point Jerry, TL-29's are hard to find in relation to finding TL-29's type of knife. I have had only
one of the real deal, sold it to a AAPK member.

I don't disagree with anything stated above. With that said, I would argue that the knife pictured in the Amazon listing is indeed an original Camillus, made for Xcelite, as noted by the tang stamp that is mostly obscured. Probably a stock photo.
If anyone were to actually purchase one from the Amazon listing linked in the OP, and it indeed has the Camillus (over) New York (over) USA ... with a line over and under the "Camillus", I'd be quite surprised.

Judging by the modern Colonial tang stamp (Chinese made, correct?) in this Xcelite branded one in an Ebay listing, Xcelite has now contracted with Colonial to have these made. Too bad these are only assembled in the US, or I'd buy one. Guess I'm not retiring my old beat up US made Colonial yet. Guess Amazon was still using a photo taken by Xcelite before 2008.
Makes sense, since the current (Chinese) Camillus lineup does not include an electrician's knife.
