All About Pocket Knives

I have another post in the counterfeit watch too about this knife (just to make sure it was real), i'm just wonderin if its quality or if anybody has more info on it.

its weird cause also i read something online that said Ontario Knife Co. used to be called Ontario Tru-edge Knife co. or something like that, but they stopped callin themselves that in the 80's, according to the page what others' said

so maybe its a large batch from all the way back then bein sold now? ima not sure




i'm just hopin its not a clone of some sort, all these stories i read about such stuff...heheh i'm prob just bein paranoid

$19 won't break the bank at least if you do'nt like it. i'm sure it will fill your needs. what are your plans for use? knives are discontinued all the time due to many reasons, mainly for new models.

As johnnie mentioned, we don't know what you are going to use the knife for. However, it appears to be a $13-$15 knife, and it is not in the same price range as those that Ontario sells that adhere to MilSpec guidelines. Most of the time, you get what you pay for. Let us know when you get it.

I am a very minor collector in military knives. The most of the knives like these are pure fantasy. That is not to sat they are bad knives, they are made for a purpose that OKC states in your first post "In addition to being a major supplier to the U.S. Government, OKC teams up with a nationwide network of distributors/dealers to market its products to many diverse consumer and niche markets." They are not counterfeit, repros or clones, they are simply put built for a niche market. If you like them buy them, at the price offered they are not going to break anyone.
It is unfortunate tho, some are showing up after weathering and or other methods of aging as so-called military.
A nice used example of a true milspec knife can be had with some research on ebay for under thirty bucks plus del. It may not be perfect but! It will be the real McCoy. Just like Lobo says this is all IMO.
