All About Pocket Knives

I did a show and tell with a guy I know at a flea market today and he always has some great knives.
Paul is a pleasure to talk knives with. He's very knowledgeable. Far beyond my experience.
He had this beautiful old Robeson. Unfortunately I didn't have a better camera with me.
I've never seen this pattern before. Robeson Suredge and I believe USA on tang.
Don't have model #. Large knife. 4"?
Does anyone own anything like this?

Sweet old knife. Is that smooth bone covers?

The handle shape number for these patterns was 482.

The "maize" composition handled knife should have a number similar to 822482 and Dave's stag 522482.

The presence of the "PocketEze" shield probably places the OP knife prior to WWII.

I suspect the tang stamp, as described by FRJ, is probably ROBESON / ShurEdge (script) / U.S.A.

Do you have one of these impressive knives?

Yes.

First one is a stag handled Post WWII knife from the 1950's.

Second is a pre-WWII jigged bone handled knife with a different blade configuration and that is indicated by the "100" suffix added to the pattern number.

Both have the 482 handle-die shape.

I do not have it with maize composition.
