All About Pocket Knives

Picked up this Robeson Barlow a couple weeks ago, close to mint with beautiful bone.

Now that's really nice. Leave it to Robeson to put a unique bolster on a Barlow.
Great sheeps foot too. Glowing red scales. It's all good.

Except for a true one armed man Barlow from Robeson, the sheepsfoot bladed patterns are, I think, the most rare.

They also made it with one blade.

Most of Robeson's Barlows were sleeveboards with that rounded bolster, but they did make a couple of patterns with a squared bolster.

Charlie, do you mean the Barlow was shaped like a sleeveboard? A sleeveboard has a blade at each end, no?

I was referring to the shape of the knife, not blade placement. Robeson Barlows are jacks, but with a sleeveboard shape.
