All About Pocket Knives

I came across this pocketknife at an estate sale. Need help identifying it. Thanks in advance.

Can we get a good clear picture of the main blade tang. Is it a single blade knife?

Looks to me like an Imperial, Hammer Brand, Ideal, Colonial or Prov Cut Co. Those companies made the lions share of the small shell knives.

I thought this might be something but after I blew up the picture, it looks like it's probably just a rub mark and besides, the tang stamp is traditionally on the other side of the tang (Mark side). Maybe someone a little more knowledgeable about these little knives can help.

Thanks for your help. Hopefully, someone will be able to identify it. It's so tiny that it is hard to get a good picture. We have examined it with a magnifying glass, but no evidence of any markings. The sale we attended was of a collector of lots of items and we acquired many excellent finds. I just haven't been able to identify this one. It was located in a Ziploc bag with collectible coins, locks, bottle openers, etc. We purchased a box of old tools and found the bag at the bottom. Jackpot!

I believe some if not most of those were made by Colonial (some possably Japan) and the Colonials were usually marked with a USA stamp. They are little trinket knives and are worth about a dollar. Dave

This is not exactly like yours but close, it is an Imperial, Prov. RI made knife. Mine is 2 inches long closed. A friend gave me this one. Terry
