Here's a picture of my growing collection of Great Eastern Model #12s. I'm always on the lookout for more if anyone has any to sell or trade.

Wow that is an amazing collection. I really love the 12s in particular the single blades from 2009. I have a white bone, rosewood, tiger lily, red bone, burnt stag and a blue bone. I think that's it LOL. But mine are all well used. BTW do I see two white bone corset shields in your collection?

Yes, I have 2 of the smooth white bone with the corset shield. Both are serialized. Another forum member had a bunch of brand new Toothpicks & Powderhorns and I bought them all. The white bones were included. I would be willing to trade one for one that I don't already own.

Yes, I am a big fan of the 12's ... before "situational adjustments" made it necessary to thin the herd, I had a dozen or so myself ... I am partial to the "sabre grinds" that were prevalent before the powderhorns arrived ...

I still have a NF Burnt Stag, a NF Blood Red bone, and a GEC Elk version ... three of my favorites.

I have 4 Northfield Toothpicks with the saber grind: burnt stag, snakewood, blood red, & antique orange.

Nice … that Burnt Orange bone is some pretty stuff …

Here are the three I've got kickin' around … I carry the Blood Red from time to time … great pattern …

Dickens, great collection and a really great pattern to focus on. The toothpick is one of my favorite patterns and I like how GEC has interpreted it. It's a little more chunky than the traditional toothpick, but for me that makes it a lot more useful.

I've had a few of the #12s from GEC and I thought they were perfect for our trout streams here in Pa. My elk stag #12 cleaned a ton of trout before its demise.

Since I made the original post, I've acquired a few more. I now have 45 including two of the three that GEC made for Cripple Creek and the one that they made for Bulldog. I only need five more to have them all. I still need the 2010 Bulldog with burnt amber covers, a 2011 Tidioute Toothpick with saddle brown jigged bone, a 2011 Northfield Toothpick in natural stag, a 2011 Northfield Templar Toothpick with red lava flow acrylic, and a 2011 Northfield Powderhorn with copperhead jigged bone.

Thats awesome that you've been able to amass the amount you have.

One of the first knives I really coveted was a #12 Tidioute with second cut stag scales. There was something about that knife I couldn't shake.

Here's a quick group picture. It's not very good but the weather is such that I didn't want to take them outdoors to photograph them.

There wasn't a pattern 12 made in Yellow Rose.

I could have sworn I remember seeing one. I thought an old member of this forum had one. My mind must be slipping.

I like the #12, but carry the topmost #12 in this picture only on special occasions. The other two knives have been given away:

The #12 is a slim classy carry, easy to save for special occasions.

Here are the three I once enjoyed, alas they are not fireproof....
This one was my favorite GEC for a long time. Loved the deep red on this one. Here is a #12 in the powderhorn variation. Beautiful primitive bone on this one. This knife was given to me by Ryan Daniels many moons ago, it was his EDC.

GECs #12 t'pick was an early favorite when I started collecting. I regret passing on the ebony & beavertail powderhorn jacks way back when they were readily available. I've always thought the 2-blade 'pick would be more interesting and useful with a slim muskrat clip on the main blade.

JT mentioned yellow rose bone. Would love to see GEC do that on the #12.

I used to dislike that pattern/shape...but NOW I'm really wanting a couple. One for every day carry and a nice "Keeper" for my collection. All of these here are beautiful to me! I'd keep em!
