All About Pocket Knives

Picked up this 1207 over the weekend and didn't think much about it until I got home and looked it over. I think it has burl wood or curly maple handles but the tang stamp is odd? Case / LTD. / XX with either 4 or 5 emblems on either side of the XX. Not among the standard tang stamps with the dating sysytem. I kind of looked on Ebay and Google for this but so many of the Case knives are limited production it makes it hard to get information. Was this part of a mint set in 2005 or 2006 or some other set? Appreciate the help.

Have the handles been replaced, looks like front and rear pin is missing. or is it just the photo?

I think it is straight. Starts with the number 1 so that indicates wood (walnut) and I think certain other woods? The pins are all there just a poor picture on my part. I think I'll email these pics to Case and see what they say about the knife. If I get a response I'll post it.

Now we know. What was the 100 years - anniversary?

The knife is from 1995'. Not sure of what set it came from if any. In the mid-1990s', there were quite a few knives, not just wood, that had sunken pins, IE: pin head below scale surface just on the handle pins, not the pivot pin. Which is what PCwizard was alluding to I believe. I call then "sunken pin" knives. I don't know new CASE knives but the only time I have seen this is in the mid 90s'.

Here is a 1347 SS. If it was a set, I would appreciate some details please.
