All About Pocket Knives

Hello from Leander Texas. I've owned a pocket knife since I was about 8 but only been carrying one for the last few years. I never really paid attention to the majestic and mystic of a pocket knife. I do leather crafting for a hobby and I frequent antique shops and pawn shops in search of tools and ect. but I'm always enjoyed looking at the collection of knives. I started make knife sheaths for family and really started looking for knives to put into the sheaths. My focus turned to 3 inch to 6 inch scout and trapper knives. I must say I'm hooked and now always looking out for something. I'm sure i'll have a lot of question in the future. Thank you for you time.

Glad to have you! I used to share your interest in trappers but somethin' happened. After a while you may get a fever and be plagued with the accumulator syndrome, very serious condition. It causes you to add all sorts of things to your cigar box full of trappers and scout knives.

Hi back to you. I started like you did collecting knives, first with leather work, then to fixed blades to put my knives in, only then I stumbled into a local knife club and after 25 years or so, my knife collecting has turned into a major hobby. I still do sheaths for guys in my club but really love adding to my obsession filling my safes with blades. Welcome. ____Dave
