All About Pocket Knives

Simon, our youngest, has been in Centennial Hispital in Nashville, TN having some tests run since Wed., he and Valerie will be home tonight. He has atypical absence seizures and they've gotten a bit worse, it we've gotten in with an awesome Pediatric Neurologist and he wanted to test him from stem to stern to see exactly what's going on and aggressively treat them, something our old neirologist wasn't doing. He's almost certain to outgrow them before adulthood, so we're thankful for that.

Anyway, last night at the hospital he and Valerie were watching a movie about Jesus. In the movie it showed Mary pregnant and Valerie asked Simon who's 4 years old, "Do you know who that is?"

Simon said, "It's Jesus's momma." And Valerie asked him what Jesus did to which Simon replied....

"He got on a cross and died. Then He went to heaven, and that's home."

That right there is the outlook us believers ought to have, that's home......

That's good to hear, y'all are doing what all parents should do, guide those little ones. Will be praying his medical issues will soon be gone.

PRAYERS OUT FOR ,SIMON

My wife was diagnosed with " UNCONSCIOUS, NON EPILEPTIC SEIZURE DISORDER" several years ago..
took a year to get into UC SAN FRANCISCO ,BUT WELL WORTH THE WAIT TO HAVE A "GOOD" NEUROLOGIST....

KEPRA did not help 1st time around..... then came 80 other medications they tried
then back to try KEPRA again a couple months ago b4 a surgery........ and now 1-2 every 2 weeks!!!
(start was 10-20 a DAY )

Momma and child are home, worn plumb out, and in the bed. I swear that Simon is a tougher man than I am. He spent two days with wires glued to his head tethering him to the bed. Not once did he complain. He looked sad today and Valerie asked him what was the matter and all he said was his head hurt. They showed him the little pain chart and asked him which one was him, and he picked the severe! All those wires pulling on him gave him a whopper headache, but not one complaint. He didn't even flinch when they gave him the IV today.

I think we're on the right track now, by the grace of God and the prayers of the saints. We sure do appreciate every last one of ya and are glad to call you brothers in Christ.

Hey guys. Thanks for all your prayers. Simon is doing well. We're still trying to get his medicine just right, but he's doing right well.

Regardless of his issues, he's sharp as a tack, and seems to have most everybody wrapped around his little finger. Lol.
