All About Pocket Knives

Hope I am posting this in the right place as I am pretty new to the forum. I couldn't find a thread just on Miller Bros knives but would like to start one if there isn't one already... and if there is others interested. I do know I have seen a number of Miller Bros posted here and there on the forum.

Picked this up not long ago and to date no doubt my fav ... jigged bone handles and a lockback as well. I think the bolster at the pivot is iron and the lower bolster nickel silver. Knife measures 9 1/2 " open and 5 3/8" closed. It is in pretty good shape and only a really small pin crack on the backside of handle - lower pin near the iron bolster... blade is tight and snaps pretty well open but it may be the lockback I hear. There was some pitting on the blade that is evident in the right light but not terrible, and I would assume it had been sharpened at one time or another. It is pretty slow on the close... maybe I should lubricate the joint? It was cleaned pretty well when I bought it and haven't done anything to it yet but I will lube the joint and give it a light coating of Ren wax or oil. I haven't seen another like it so please post them up if anybody has another Miller Bros Hunter. Any comments - observations etc appreciated

All I can say is NICE! We don't see many Miller Bros knives around here. I've only found one and it needs new bone on both sides.

Nice find Lee. Definitely lube the joint. That's always first thing I do to any knife I get. it can't hurt, and often you can flush out years of accumulated dirt and grime with a few drops of light lube. Many slow lazy blades have been brought back to life with a drop or two of lube.
