Please post pictures of the various etchings on some of your vintage Schlieper knives.

Ok, I'll start. These are some of the more common etchings I have found on vintage Carl Schlieper Eye Brand knives. I would be interested in seeing any that differ from this list. The last one (bottom center) is a little more uncommon than the others.

In his Knife World article Joe Dobbs says there are at least 13 variations with the 2 line etch being the oldest and most desirable.

I wanted to add a couple of etches to the list.
First is the El Gallo. It is my favorite etch of all of them.
Second is Fan Brand which was distributed mainly in areas other than the USA. Seems like Canada, Australia, South Africa and such.

Haven't had time to go through everything to look back over old etchings but found this one on a contract Jim Bowie Knife while looking for barlows.

Can't resist posting this 1 Eye etch. This is not the modern 1 Eye etch but a very old one. Not the greatest photo but the etch is badly faded.

Very nice one, Ray. Definitely old and agree it's back to the 50's. Keep 'em comin'. :)
