Hello!

Been lurking a while, figured I join.
Found you guys while on a Google search for whittling.

I was down in the basement a few months back and came across my KutMaster stockman my grandfather gave me back when I was about 9 (back in '71). I've always carried a knife since he gave me that. It sparked a renewed interest in pocket knives and the whittling we used to do; nothing fancy, just turning big sticks into little sticks, but it was time with my Grampy while Dad was doing his remote in Thailand with the Air Force.

My EDC for the longest time was a Camillus stockman. I've since picked up a few Case, a Hen and Rooster and a Boker congress. (I'll be sure to post some pics later - I'm on my lunch break at work)

Married for 33 great years to a wonderful wife. Both kids grown and out of the house.
I'm retired Air Force 1980-2000. Worked Guidance and Control (avionics) on the heavies at Wright-Patt, Rhein Main and McGuire.
I'm an associate pastor at our church and work in the business office at a school.

Born in Van Buren, Maine. But with Dad in the AF, then me joining up, I'm now residing in Pennsauken, NJ, right across the river from Philly. Still a New Englandah at heart!

Lunch time over!

Welcome to AAPK Steve. Glad to have you aboard, even if you are a zoomie.

My niece did an enlistment in the AF at Tyndall AFB, then reenlisted into the full time Florida Air National Guard. She's a S/Sgt and still at Tyndall. Her granddad was career AF.

Hi Steve. Good to meet you. We are a 5 generation AF. family with only my son as a lifer. The rest of us only covered all the wars except Korea but did our duty stateside starting with Grandpa in WW1. I don't think any of us looked like hero material so they kept us where they could keep an eye on us. I spent 4 years in S.D. during Viet Nam. If you have been hanging around AAPK for a while you already know what a great bunch of guys this is, and it comes with a built in prayer team whenever you happen to need one. Welcome. _____Dave
