A new pickup. Gave $40, probably got set on fire, but it won't be the first or last time. I figure that much metal is worth $40. Any thoughts guys?

I've never seen that mark before;are you sure it is Frost Cutlery? Most(if not all) of their knives are currently made "off shore" as in China. Some of the early Frost stuff was of Japanese origin and quite well constructed. The posted knife looks like a pretty well made piece.I don't think you overpaid.

::shrug:: I have to agree with knifeknut, I've never seen that stamp before. I have several Parker Frost knives and all are imported with no USA made on them. Not sure what to make of your knife. A lot of unknowns, like what type of steel it is and did it come with a sheath? The handle is made of diamond wood or laminated wood, which is not expensive but durable. Probably the 40 bucks you invested is not too bad. The USA stamp means quite a little to me. Not much help I guess. ::shrug:: Terry

Yeah lol. First for me. Its stamped so well no alarms went off in my head. I have several parkers also. It had an old crappy homemade sheath. I don't know the steel type but can tell you it will sharpen easily. There a few rust spots and some tarnesh but it has to be stainless. I'm stumped as well. It won't be the first time I've been hoodwinked, but its stamped very well. Its not cold stamped, and I don't think anyone would go through that much trouble to counterfeit a frost. Thanks guys.
