I didn't want to come here whining but thought it was not fair to leave everyone wondering what was going on. I've been dealing with a cough and upper body pain for a while now. Finally went to an ER that would agree to do imaging and it revealed a cancerous mass in my chest. full results are not in yet so we'll just have to see how the chips fall. dealing with this crap at 24, really really sucks

Kaleb,

I found out in December of 2008 ,I had had a heart attack and that I had stage 4 cancer. Two arteries were 80% blocked and one was 100% blocked.

I am now cancer free and have had a triple bypass and physically feel good mostly, except for being 62 years old.

God is the Chief Physician and I will think of you.

thank you all. the biopsy yesterday showed lymphoma cells (that's where i got the cancerous part) but the full report has not come back yet so we'll just have to see how it goes. hoping they let me go back home today, I'm not used to all this lying around doing nothing. Apparently the good news is they said it is a treatable form of cancer. I know 3 people who have beat it in the past 2 years so I'm not really worried about it, just irritated about it more than anything.

I live with 3 debilitating medical conditions. However, I take great comfort in the reality that no matter what I am dealing with the Creator of the Universe walks with me through everything, good or bad. I have also learned that the Father can use bad circumstances, even serious illness, to teach me important truths and principals that make me a better person and to draw me into more intimate fellowship with Him.

In Genius 50:20 Joseph tells his brothers; "As for you, you meant evil against me, {but} God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result…” That is one of the great things about God; He turns events that seem bad or evil into something good. He brings His good results even out of tragedy. I have seen this in my own life many times, in illnesses and even in my divorce; God brought good things out of what seemed to me to be a disaster! Through each of these God has taught me great truths about Himself, about life in general and about myself. Without these lessons I would not be the man I am today. There were times when it was pretty hard to see how anything good could come from them, but in retrospect they were some of the most important lessons I have learned in my life.

Seek the Lord even in this most difficult of circumstances and God will be with you, every step of the way, and He will bring you through it with a stronger relationship with Him and as a better person. What the enemy intends for evil, God will turn into a blessing, and you can count on that.

Thanks for the update, now I can be more precise in my prayers for you.
With your permission I will put you on the prayer list at my church.

God’s blessing and healing be upon you!

Dale tells the truth. The only thing that really should worry someone is not having things fixed with our Maker, but we are mortal.

Thank you all. I am home for the weekend, I start chemo tuesday. Apparently it is confined to my upper chest area, it is B cell lymphoma and is treatable. Therapy sessions are going to be every 3 weeks. I'm not sure how long it will take or the other details, that is to be discussed when I go back and see the doctor tuesday for my first session. I'm laid up right now from a bone marrow biopsy that I think went a little wrong, it was extremely painful and i can barely walk which from what I understand is unusual for that operation.

Well friends and neighbors I went and seen the local cancer doc today; she is supposed to be the best in the area and has cured everyone we know that has had cancer. She decided to go with a different treatment that will admit me and treat me non stop for 5 days once a month. She seemed very thorough and straight forward and said there is an 80-90% cure rate. She said that I am young and need to be better and this treatment is more aggressive so we can get the show on the road. I go in tomorrow AM to have the port installed and get admitted to start treatment. Please keep my family in your prayers ya'll, we need all the help we can get.

Sounds like you are in good hands. Add the will of our Lord, I think that's a pretty good team right there.

Good luck, Kaleb!
