I don't recall where I found this fistful.
I would sure like to know more about it though, like who made it, where & when. Any ideas?

Specifications:
LOA 9"; Weight 6.75 oz, blade ~1.5 oz;
Blade 3-7/8" x 11/16" x 1/8";
Handle 5-3/8" x 7/8" x 9/16";

It's very solid, quite tight when opened; no rattle closed, either.

Looks like the last tap with a hammer cracked the MOP at the rear RH brass pin: Tsk!

Your comments are much appreciated, and Thanks!

A really nice example of a custom OTF. The blade looks to have been a file in a former life.What really puzzles me is why whomever made it didn't elect to use an Allen screw and nut instead of a hammered over pin on the end.For someone to go to the trouble of counterboring the pearl to accept the Allen screws(no mean feat in itself without cracking the pearl) shows that they had the mechanical ability to do that and to not do it on the end is really mystifying.

Yup...I hadn't analyzed that anomaly, but it does seem the pin crack might have been avoided by one skilled enough to accomplish the other aspects of MOP craft evident in this one-off.

I'm curious as to how you re-load it after it has fired? Is there a spring tension release or does it have to be manually cocked by pressing the point against a hard surface?

It's all gravity; tip down to 'fire', and tip up to 'reload'.

No Springs, Honest Weight. wlw
