Before & After Pics

Was a bacon slicer I found at a garage sale for a quarter.
Whitebuffalo58 put new scales on it that I purchased (can't remember what type of wood it is - if anyone
thinks they know throw it out there and maybe it'll help jog my memory).
I hacked off part of the blade and now it's a bushcraft/survival knife!

I think it looks cool. More like the fur trade knives that were used back in the day, IMO. History wants people to think that they used these massive bowies and what not, but basic FB knives like this were the norm.

Cool Scott. Those old butcher knives make great general purpose using knives. And Glennbad is right on the money too.
