All About Pocket Knives

Last weekend I picked up a Case Muskrat at the flea market that had a chip in the mark side handle. As you can see there is a nasty crack and missing chip of bone missing from the handle.
I stabilized the crack and loose bone chip with Zap-A-Gap thin. I used several light applications to the crack to get under the bone and glue it from behind and make the loose piece solid.
Then I switched to Zap-A-Gap regular and built up the area around the chip. I was pleased with the results.

As you can see I am not completely finished yet. I think I will build it up a little more.
I just thought you guys might like to see the results.
I have been EDCing this knife daily and there has been no problem with the repair.

I thought it was cool the way the glue picked up the color of the bone.

I like what you did to that one, Dale. You really cannot see where the crack was, if you didn't show the before picture.

Very nice! I've used that zap a gap thin on a couple of knives since you mentioned it before. It really does work well. That ol rat is real nice!

Looks good , I just did a similar repair using the same method on horn . It picked up the color and came out well .

Can't even tell it was ever chipped. Very well done, Dale!
