I've had this sitting partially finished in the shop for a couple years now or close to it. It turned out o.k. The leather I used for the washers was softer than what I normally use so it did not take a fine finish polish like normal but stayed kind of rough which made the color uneven when I dyed it which bothered me at first but since it's my own knife and it's going to be a user anyway i'm not entirely PO'd about it. It actually looks kinda old and "original" (ie: it looks beat up). colored spacers aren't correct, blade was cleaned then bead blasted by a forum member and it got some rust while it was kicking around the shop so I blued it and it blended it a bit. When I get moved into a bigger shop someday I'm going to get a small blast cabinet so I can do my own. I like the matte blued look I got with the bead blast / blued combo
