I don't want to get rid of them, but that 57 1/2 whittler and the 57 whittler are my favorite GEC patterns. I've got 1/2 in green bone and burnt stag. I love those Wharncliff blades! Good luck in your quest.

Thanks for the reply Randy (post some photos)...I can understand why you'd want to hang onto them. Believe it or not, I've already been contacted by another AAPK member who has agreed to sell me his GEC 57 Wharncliffe Primitive Bone Half Whittler. I'll post some photos as soon as it arrives (just to make you all green with envy
!).

Niiiice! I really like that cute little stag one. I'll admit it...I'm addicted to stag and wharncliffe blades...to my way-o-thinkin' thar jus' ain't nuthin' purdier (although ivory comes in a pretty close second). I jus' luv me some gnarly stag. Still waitin on the Glennbad Special Copperlock stag mod. Here's the latest update on that project...Glenn, I hope you're not just teasing and toying with me...but I know you're a busy man in high demand...and I am very patient. No pressure, but we're all anxious to see you work your magic.

Here's the latest update...(which I also posted on the Mail Call New GEC Pickup thread).
Top knife is a Tidioute 48 Improved Trapper in Smooth Ivory Bone
Bottom knife is the GEC Northfield UN-X-LD Half-Whittler in Primitive Bone
Both are mint, pristine, and absolutely perfect. Great additions to my collection and temporary satisfactions to my collecting addiction/obsession/mania/illness...call it what you will...but to me it's nothing but pure art that elevates my spirit and rejuvenates my soul.
