Scagel Reproductions

Does anyone have any input as to the quality of the Scagel Reproductions made by Northwoods Knives, in Gladstone, Mi. They appear to be well made knives, and they advertise that they are exact reproductions. I'm considering buying one of their stag Barlows, and maybe a fixed blade.

As far as the Scagel folders, I have handled 2, that I remember, at shows. They were well made knives, and I'm pretty sure they were made by Queen, for Northwoods. I don't know anything about the fixed blades, except that they look pretty cool... ::nod:: 8)

8) JIM; I bought that Scagel Repro from Northwoods Knives, about two

years ago. It of course was a Limited production run. Now in hindsight I

wish I would have bought two of them. ::tu:: I think my good Buddy,

Sunburst also has one of these knives.

Ahhh Mitch is a trendsetter that encouraged my bankruptcy..

I love the Scagel reproductions Jim, the handles are made by Northwoods and sent to Queen for assembly. This coming from Dave Shirley the owner of the rights to Scagel..

I have several of these repro's and have to say that they are simplicity in action that are quality made and a great collector.. 8) I have some PDF files that give a breakdown on these knives if your interested on more information. Let me know and I can email them to you...

Mitch,

I don't know about that, I'm just trying to keep up with you and your trendsetter ways... The fixed blade is pretty neat..I had a chance to get the newest Scagel #10 but $395.00 is a lot of money for one knife... Once I saw your ivory scagel I had to have one and finally worked it out..See what ya started...

Hey Bill if my wife knew what they cost you might get a few Scagels at great prices after she fire saled the lot... ::nod::

Take care,

Sunburst
