I hope this is the right place to post this. I was working on my new knife that I am building and had thought about trying a hollow grind. I have been doing a flat grind on my knives so far. This is what I have to work with, I have a 6" and 8" bench grinders, a 1x30" belt sander, a 1"x42" belt sander, a 4" belt disc sander, and a hand belt sander. I though I saw a Youtube video where a guy used a bench grinder to do a hollow grind, he had a jig he used. I thought it was Rancid crabtree. I have looked all over for it with no luck. What do you guys like for a blade, flat grind stock removal , or a hollow grind?

Is it that specific video you're looking for because there are a bunch of videos on YouTube on how to hollow grind a knife blade.

I think you're right Jeep. I believe this thread should have gone in one of the "Knife Creation, Modification, And Restoration Forums" --

Not to worry, we can get a Mod or Admin to move it. Ain't no thing. You'll get used to AAPK and it won't be long before you'll be an old hand at this stuff.

I'm a flat grind guy all the way, I hate hollow grinds on anything except a straight razor
