All About Pocket Knives

Here is a nice knife i came by recently, The the main blade is marked I.XL GEORGE WOSTENHOLM SHEFIELD ENGLAND. On the blade is the legend "REAL LAMB FOOT KNIFE" On the reverse is stamped "OIL THE JOINTS". The smaller blade has the I.XL stamp but not oil the joints. I dont know if the scales are bone or wood but they are cracked and have a small piece missing. The blades are both tight and the back spring is very stiff. The steel takes a very sharp edge but as i dont use it i dont know how long it will stay sharp. It may be a little tatty but i like it. Stan.

Sweet looking knife. I'm pretty sure the handles a bone. Hard to find old IXL's over here looking that nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice,need to get 'er oiled up and remove rust. Welcome to the forum,as Wayne said bone,I like IXLs.

Very nice jigged bone handles, you don`t see that red colored bone too often

I have cleaned it up a bit but i dont like to lose the patina, this one has definately been well used.
