Schrade Walden 881 Stockman Question

Asking for this help for a friend. Attached are a couple of photos of a Schrade Walden 881 Texas pattern, premium stock knife. Tang of the clip blade is stamped SCHRADE (over) WALDEN (over) NY USA. I believe this stamp dates it from the mid-1950s to 1973. Our charts show the knife to have been produced from 1952 to 1986.
My question is: Are these bone handles likely original from the factory or have they been replaced? The grayish color is just not a handle color I recall seeing on a Schrade.
In looking inside, I cannot see evidence of replacement. There is a gap at the backspring.
See any other problems with the knife?

Ray, I'm with you as I have never seen that type/color of bone on a Schrade. It does look like there are some gaps and discoloring at the bolsters and liners as well. My bet would be they are not original.

The early one's had a dark brown bone handles .
It looks like the bone on some of the knives made for Parker Frost Bison series.
Here is a Old Timer 80T with the same type of bone and no one has rushed out to purchase.

Definitely not pre-1973 handles. It is a re-handle, although a dim possibility is that the workmen at Schrade in the final days could have put some of this stuff together. The (c. 1978) Parker connection is a good bet. Also the 1980s IXL-Schrade 4 inch stockmans had similar, and the 1981 Classics Tradesmen had similar bone. There was one just like in the OP up for bid on ebay some several weeks ago for a huge amount of money, and another one (the same one?) up again just a few days ago. Btw, isn't it amazing how the "Stidham" knives just keep replenishing themselves? LOL.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT SAY ABOUT STIDHAM COLLECTION AUCTION. I MADE, WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A REASONABLE REQUEST TO THE PRESENT OWNER OF STIDHAM KNIVES AUCTION, ASKING HIM TO MAYBE LIST SOME OF THESE KNIVES AT A LOWER OPENING BID AND LET THE BIDDER DICTATE THE FINAL VALUE INSTEAD OF THE SOMEWHAT HIGH "BUY-IT-NOW" PRICES--HE BORROWED ME FROM BIDDING ON HIS AUCTION INFORMING ME WITH A LESS THAN PLEASANT NOTE-I OVER STEPPED MY BOUNDS MAYBE?????

Being blocked from bidding on Eugene's auctions is not the end of the world.
