Here is a bolster that is very pitted, is there any thing you can use to fill in the pitting? Thanks for any help.

I think it might be easier to find a donor and replace the bolster or make a new one. The pitting looks pretty deep. Is the opposite side as bad? Is that a Western knife?

Yes it's a western, and the other side is not as bad.

Is the bolster nickel silver or steel?

Dale I really don't know? I was thinking about buying this knife if I could fix the bolster. If it is a n/s bolster would I be able to solder in the bad spots and polish them back out? Thanks for any replies

That is what I am thinking too.
I would remove the steel ones and replace them with nickel silver. N/S is much easier to work with.

You might be able to do that, but it would probably look bad.
Much easier to replace them.
