A Field & Co whittler

I've had this whittler sitting on my bench for some time now. I finally got around to modding it.
The file blade was snapped off, the pearl was busted up. I had another file, not a perfect match, but it will work. I am pretty pleased with how it came out, it is going right in the pocket.
Here's the before and after...
Thanks for looking.
Glenn

Glenn, it looks like you switched the pen blade from the back to the front.
Are you still able to access the nail nick to open the blade?
The bone handles look great

Glenn that's a great transformation. The end result is a knife that is pure class.

That's just a trick of the camera, the pen is still in the same place.

I heard somewhere that whittlers are hard to work with.
Did you have any encounters, Glenn?

They can be a little tricky to fit properly. I've been pretty lucky working with them, though.

That is nice work. Those new covers are a good match for the patina on those old blades. A much better choice than new pearl would have been, in my opinion.
