I`m looking at my old switchblade and the critical edge on the tang that holds the blade is rounded off resulting in peek . is there a way to rebuild that , perhaps a micro tig weld and a reshape or something similar , how would you mechanics address that ?

I think Bob knows someone who can build up the end of a worn down tang with a TIG welder.
His guy might be able to do it. I don't know any of us on this forum who have our own TIG welder.

I weld them in, I'm assuming you are talking about the chip that occurs on the bearing edge of the schrade sear notch? Normally I just weld it in, depending on the size of it either I weld it or I have a guy who has a laser welder who can be VERY precise weld it in.

That's awesome Kaleb! ::tu::
I didn't know that you did that.
My old cracker box welder is not nearly precise enough for that kind of work.
