I have a Buck Cublite that I bought at a local gun show. Just wondering how common they are and what are they worth. It has a blue nylon pouch with Buck and the Cub Scout logo in yellow on the front. The single blade folder has "Official Knife " and the logo etched on the blade, and is stamped with the logo and Buck 414 USA and the 1986 mark. thanks, Terry

They come up periodically and do seem to hold value. Made in the late 1980's, around 1986-1988. As stated, they usually sell in the $50-100 range with the original box (unused condition).

Ron and Scott, thanks for the response, mine is a 1986 according to the mark on the tang. Unfortunately I didn't get the box but I believe it is unused. It's better than my photo's show. thanks again, Terry

Terry, there are LOTS of Bucklite variations - more than you would ever imagine. Armand (posts as "ITE" on the Buck Forum at Blade Forums) is THE MAN when it comes to these - he has hundreds. I'm going to link you to an ongoing post about BuckLites in general (the Cub and BSA are in there too). I think you will enjoy it (lots of info) and I think you can learn some more about them from that thread - one warning, if you join there don't ask about $$ values at Blade Forum's - it's against the rules there. I do think the BSA and Cub Scout variations are among the most desirable of the many to collect. OH
Ps. I've been looking for the Red BSA model in good shape for quite a while, haven't seen one at a price I was willing to pay.

OH, thanks for the link to the ite guy, do you happen to have his email address, or know where I could get it? It is an interesting read but I'm not a member. I have one other Bucklite that I got as a seed corn promotion gift from "Golden Harvest " back in the 80"s and it has been used a lot, it came in a light tan nylon pouch with the emblem GH on it. It is still one of my favorite knives to carry on deer and antelope hunts, don't weigh much and holds a good edge. Terry

Terry, I don't have his e-mail - I have communicated with him, but through the internal PM system at Blade. OH
