Presto question

I was at a barn sale today. I picked up a few things, and was talking about knives with the owner, and he pulled this one out to ask about it.

Not knowing much about switchblades, it is marked Presto, but I wasn't sure if it was legit. I'd never seen these with the metal painted handles. He asked how much it was worth. Heck, I don't friggin' know. I gave him the standard $50 all the way up to $500, depending on the model and condition.

At first he said he wasn't interested in selling it, but a little later he asked what I would offer for it. I told him I wasn't sure, but I might come back next weekend.

He let me take that pic of it. Condition seems quite good. Edges were crisp, blade looks very full with little wear, mainly just a few scratches. Some flecks of paint missing here and there. Fires strong, button and lock works.

So my question is how much might this be worth? I'm not afraid to offer money, I just don't want to offer too much based on its' value.

Thanks,
Glenn

Looks 100% legit to me and a fine example. I think you might be just about in the middle of that $5-$500 range. I'm not specifically an auto guy so maybe one will chime in.

One just sold last week for 133.00 on a popular knife auction site . Same marking but more of the paint was gone with full blade , I was out bid . if you decide to pass on this one I`d be interested :)
