Remington/PAL transition knife 7543....

Looking for some info on this knife I've owned for quite awhile now.Tang stamped Remington(both blades) and the mark side of the blade lightly etched(maybe even ink stamped)PAL fine cutlery and on the pile side the number 7543.
Can't seem to find this number listed in the Remington lists I have and am wondering if this was only used by PAL when they bought Remington.Any ideas?

Knife is listed on page 218 of Stewart and Ritchie's "Remington Knives Past & Present".

It's definitely a transition knife. Remington only inked pattern numbers in the last years.
Pal didn't add any patterns to the Remington lineup after they bought the cutlery division.
I've saw a few Remington stamped blades with a Pal etch, but they sure are few and far between.
That's sure is a sweet knife.

Nice knife, I've always wanted a transition knife. I usually buy every bone handle pal I see if the price is resonable.

Thanks to all who replied.It is in nice shape except for a small crack at each pivot pin on the pile side to the bolster.Doesn't look like it has ever seen a stone but a couple small scrape scratches on the blades.
