nice, are those made by schrade for sears?

They do have the Schrade look on the handles don't they? Very nice Tobyrogers

Yes Schrade made these for Sears.The unusual thing is the Fullers Groove.Not many Schrades had these.Arnold

Fullers Groove??
A Fuller is a rounded or beveled groove on the flat side of a blade, such as a sword, knife, or bayonet. Although 19th century romantic fancy referred to them as "blood grooves", their purpose is to lighten and strengthen the blade, rather than to allow blood to flow from a stabbed person.
Some speculate that this design feature makes a weapon easier to withdraw after a stabbing attack by allowing air into the wound it produces, but no real evidence has ever demonstrated that any resisting suction effect exists. Many blades use fullers even when they are so short that the physical effect is negligible; in this case, the purpose may be to make the weapon resemble larger blades.

Thanks for the information.My point was Schrade never used these on most of there knives.You may be right about making it resemble larger blades.Arnold

I bet if the truth were known, the metal saved from 100 fullered blades would come close to making another blade. Not much metal available during war years.
A properly installed fuller will lighten and not weaken the blade.
Those are really nice knives, especially the three and their sheaths on the right. They sure missed a bet not being made by Buck. The blade styles and the sheath styles are certainly similiar to the 120,119 and I think the 115. Again nice knives.

There was some argument about these being made by Buck on the Schrade 166 Buffalo Bill which the larger blades are patterned after but I showed that they are Schrade made.The smaller knife is like the 41OT.Arnold

Nice collection of nice knives. I have a few sheath fixed blades too.
