The tang is either worn off or never there? Was H.S.B the only manufacturers of true value knives? This one is stamped 19.

Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett was a Hardware Company. They did not manufacture cutlery. They contracted with several cutlery companies to make their knives for them.

I know H.S.B was a hardware store from Chicago, the true value knives I have seen have been stamped with an h.s.b. I guess my question is who made this knife? The knife does look like a 65.
