Dropping in to say Hi to the guys on this site. I used to be a frequent poster on a couple of the older knife forum sites, but health issues stopped a lot of that. After an email conversation with one of the guys I remembered fondly, he referred me to this site.
I see quite a few names I recognize and a lot I don't. I have spent the last several hours plundering thru the site and some very good posts.
I am a Case 48 pattern and peanut collector and have been since 1994. At this time I have about 300 of the two patterns all dating to 1989 and earlier. The only newer knives I have picked up are a few of the special issue Peanut sets and a few of the 48 patterns such as the Lowe's set. I also have collected quite a few of the old Case stag carving sets. I do not claim to be an expert on Case knives and I do like to read and study the older guides and catalogs.
My EDC is a Case Seahorse reworked into a single blade knife by "Elvis". I have several of his creations and they have a special place in my collection.
