All About Pocket Knives

Hi all,
My grandma gave me a pocket knife the other day and I've been unable to find anything like it. By chance, has anyone here ever seen a knife like this or know where it came from?

That's an interesting knife. Logically it must be old as the last president listed is Wilson who served from1913-1921, unless there is another knife with a continuing list ? What about a picture of the blades to show any tang stamps? That would give more info about your knife.

Looks to be a Daniel Peres knife.That company made a lot of commemorative knives such as that one.Is the greenish tint in the picture actually on the scales?If so they are likely made of nickel silver which would be unusual for a Peres knife as they are usually made of aluminum.Some Peres knives are marked just with the barrel trademark rather than the whole name.Would like to see pictures of the knife open and in particular the tang stamp(if any)on the master blade.Nice knife whoever made it!

Sorry the lighting was a little funky. There's some green fuzz on parts of the handle but most of it rubs right off (haven't tried getting in to the tight spaces).
Good call on the D. Peres! Names right there with the barrel. At least now I know what to look for in the future.

Have any idea what something like this is worth? (I'm not going to hock my grandmother's knife, I'd just like to get an idea of how delicately I should store this thing).

As far as value, well, not a lot. If I had it on my table at a show, I'd put about $17.50 on it and take what I could get. Just my opinion and others may check in who feel differently.

As with all items condition is of paramount importance;especially with knives.The blades look to have been sharpened quite a bit.A lot of collectors won't even look at a knife that is anything less than,"out of the box" condition.
That being said I think I would put the value a bit higher due to it's relative rarity(I've never seen one like it before) but then again I am a sucker for unusual knives.I have quite a few Peres knives and virtually all are aluminum except for a tool kit set and those are chrome plated.
I would put a price of $50 and go from there(but not very far).JMHO.
