Case melon tester rehab

Here is a Case melon tester I rehabbed for Phin. I didn’t take any before photos.
The knife was made with white celluloid handles, which did what we all know celluloid will do. The handles were shrunk, cracked and falling off in chunks. Fortunately most of the knife is stainless steel so there was not significant damage to the knife itself.
The new handles are nice black Macassar ebony.

Oooh, Dale! Looks like some nice spun pins on that one. That mod certainly upgraded that melon tester.

Very nice. ::tu::

Hello all; Dale is the best! I had this knife for a while, thought of sending it to Case. I have
a mint no crack one, and thought If I was to put new scales why not make it better than Case
did. Dale sure did the trick! And I thank him from the bottom of my heart.
Only problem is he gave me the sickness, now looking for broken scale knives. Done
2 so far, it is addictive!
THANK YOU DALE !!!!!!!!!!
regards to all
Phin

I am glad you are pleased with the knife Phin!

I didn't intentionally infect you, but I guess I have that effect on people, or so I have been told! ::facepalm::

Well, if there was ever anyone you would want to infect you, it would certainly be Dale... ::skeptic:: ::uc:: :mrgreen:

Beautiful job Dale! I really like the ebony on that knife. For future reference, if another one falls in your lap and you want to restore it, I have material that is a perfect match for the original.
