All About Pocket Knives

Hey pa knives (or others) , can I borrow your vast knowledge to give me some more info on my 1st vintage Pa. knife
The knife is 3 3/8" closed with a 2 1/2" main blade and a 1 15/16" secondary pen blade marked with the name C.F. Wolfertz in an arch & Co. Allentown. This company, under this name, made straight razors between 1862 and 1873. The main blade probably has the same markings on the tang but it isn't readable. Both blades snap well with no wobble. The larger blade is worn from use and/or sharpening. It has pitting and peppering, no rust. The smaller blade also has some light peppering. The bone handle had a corner chipped off on the end that has been repaired. The pins are brass and the bolsters and liners are steel.

my books show they were a manufacturer from 1862-1920 and a wholsaler til 1944. cool old knife.

Now that's what I'm talking about, NICE old knife and a well respected company. This company is highly under rated in my opinion. They put out a wide variety of top quality knives and related cutlery and get very little recognition for it. I would love to find an "Allentown Cutlery Works" keep up the good work and send the next one to my house
