Thank you for the info. I will be sure to post just one at a time in the future.
Old Hunter, eclectic is a serious understatement.
My father, online auction/ebay/craigslist buyer extraordinaire, recently gave me a bunch of knives. When I say "a bunch", other than telling you that there are several boxes, I really don't know how to describe it any better. I have always loved knives, but I have never been a serious collector as in brand specific. I have always carried a knife(actually.....I have them everywhere...in my truck, my purse(Yes, I am a woman.), beside the bed, on my person, in the bathroom drawer, etc...). I'm also a Mom with two small children, so I apologize if I seem to ask stupid questions. I research as much as I am able.
My dad has a very extensive Case collection as well as other various, what I would consider, high end, older knives...Old Timers, maybe a queen or two, some sterling Swiss Army, etc... One day I am going to photograph some of these for y'all to look at. I think you will find some of them very interesting.
Anyways, I have just been trying to sort the really nice knives from the trash in what I was given. I have researched a lot of them, but there are some that I can't find any information on, or at least I haven't found it yet. I plan on selling the majority of them. I don't know what kind of market there is for some of the really old, used ones, but I think that serious collectors may like them for their collections. I would rather sell them to people that I think can appreciate them rather than to people who just don't really care. I will trade some of them, too. The knives in the stores on this forum seem extremely expensive, but I realize that many are in mint condition with the boxes. I do, however, realize that my inventory is not that grade.
I, personally, have an affinity for Kershaws. A knife that I can use as a tool is my preference.
I am slowly trying to get organized. I have had most of these in boxes in my closet for almost a year. I have multi-tools, and so many Swiss Army knives that I don't know what to do with them.
Anyways, thank you for looking. I will try to not post so many next time. I really appreciate your knowledge base and time.
